How do you win Flip 7?

To win Flip 7, be the first player to reach 200 points at the end of a round. Points are earned by collecting Number cards (0-12) each round. If multiple players reach 200 points in the same round, the player with the highest score wins. Strategy tip: consistent 20-30 point rounds are often better than risky plays that lead to busting.

What happens when you reach 200 points in Flip 7?

When at least one player reaches 200 points at the end of a round, the game ends. The player with the most points wins. If multiple players are above 200, the highest score wins. Note that the game doesn't end mid-round - you must complete the current round before checking for a winner.

What happens when you bust in Flip 7?

When you bust in Flip 7, you score 0 points for that round. You bust when you draw a card with the same number as a card already in your line. For example, if you have a 7 and draw another 7, you bust immediately. The only exception is if you have a Second Chance card, which can save you from one bust per round.

How does scoring work in Flip 7?

Scoring in Flip 7 follows a specific order: First, add up all your Number cards (0-12). If you have a x2 modifier card, double that total. Then add any bonus modifier cards (+2, +4, +6, +8, or +10). Finally, if you achieved a Flip 7 (collected 7 unique number cards), add 15 bonus points. If you busted, you score 0 regardless of your cards.

What does the x2 modifier card do?

The x2 modifier card doubles the total value of all your Number cards before any other bonuses are added. For example, if your Number cards total 30 points, the x2 modifier makes it 60 points. Then any +2, +4, +6, +8, or +10 bonuses are added on top. There's only one x2 card in the entire deck, making it very valuable.

How do you get the Flip 7 bonus?

To get the Flip 7 bonus, you must successfully collect 7 unique Number cards (cards numbered 0-12) in your line without busting. Action cards (Flip Three, Freeze, Second Chance) and Modifier cards (x2, +2, +4, +6, +8, +10) do NOT count toward the 7 cards. When you achieve Flip 7, the round ends immediately for all players, and you receive 15 bonus points on top of your card values.

What does the Freeze card do?

The Freeze card is an Action card that can be played on any active player, including yourself. When a player receives a Freeze card, they immediately bank all the points they have collected and are out of the round. They cannot draw any more cards but also cannot bust. This can be used strategically to lock in a good score or to force an opponent out of the round.

What does the Flip Three card do?

The Flip Three card forces a player to draw the next three cards from the deck, flipping them one at a time. The player cannot choose to stay during these three draws. However, the forced draws stop early if the player either achieves Flip 7 (collects 7 unique number cards) or busts by drawing a duplicate number. This card can be played on any active player.

What does the Second Chance card do?

The Second Chance card acts as insurance against busting. Keep this card when you receive it. If you later draw a duplicate number that would cause you to bust, you can discard both the Second Chance card and the duplicate card to stay in the round. A player can only hold one Second Chance card at a time. It's especially valuable when you have high-count cards like 10, 11, or 12.

How many cards are in the Flip 7 deck?

The Flip 7 deck contains 94 cards total. Number cards follow a pyramidal distribution: 12 twelves, 11 elevens, 10 tens, and so on down to 1 one and 1 zero (79 number cards total). There are also 9 Action cards (3 each of Flip Three, Freeze, and Second Chance) and 6 Modifier cards (one each of x2, +2, +4, +6, +8, and +10).

What's the best Flip 7 strategy?

The best Flip 7 strategy involves understanding probability and risk management. High-value cards (10, 11, 12) are more common and thus more likely to cause busts. Consider staying if you have a good score and hold multiple high-count cards. Low cards (0-3) are rare and relatively safe. Use Second Chance wisely when holding dangerous cards. Watch what other players have drawn to estimate remaining deck composition.

How many players can play Flip 7?

Flip 7 officially supports 3 or more players and is recommended for ages 8 and up. A typical game takes about 20 minutes to play. While there's no strict upper limit, the game works best with 3-8 players to ensure everyone gets enough turns and the deck doesn't run out too quickly between shuffles.

Can you play Flip 7 with 2 players?

While Flip 7 is designed for 3+ players, you can play with 2 players with some adjustments. The game is still fun but action cards like Freeze and Flip Three become less strategic since there's only one opponent to target. Some players add house rules like dealing extra cards initially or requiring higher point totals to win.

Is there a Flip 7 app?

There's no official Flip 7 mobile app, but you can use our free web-based Flip 7 Score Tracker at flip7score.com! It works on any device, calculates scores automatically, tracks player statistics, saves game history, and even works offline. No download required - just open it in your browser and start playing.

How long does a game of Flip 7 take?

A typical game of Flip 7 takes 15-30 minutes depending on the number of players and play styles. With 3-4 players, expect around 15-20 minutes. Larger groups of 5-8 players may take 25-30 minutes. Games can be shorter if players take big risks and bust frequently, or longer if everyone plays conservatively.
